"Jesus is Lord" is a series of gatherings at St. Mary’s designed to help students explore what it means for Jesus to be Lord of every aspect of their lives. It’s a chance to encounter or re-encounter Him in a personal and transformative way.

The street team is made up of student leaders like you who believe in this mission and want to help spread the word. Your role includes:

• Inviting your peers to the gatherings.

• Sharing information through your networks and organizations.

• Using promotional materials (like flyers or branded items) to spark interest.

• Praying for the success of the gatherings.

You’re uniquely positioned to influence your peers because you’re already a trusted leader/friend in the community. Your personal invitation carries more weight than any announcement or flyer. By sharing your excitement and belief in this mission, you’ll inspire others to take part.

As a street team member, you’ll:

• Personally invite people to the gatherings—this can be as simple as a quick conversation or sending a text.

• Use resources like flags, temporary tattoos, and flyers to promote the event creatively.

• Be present at the gatherings to lead by example and encourage others to attend.

• Pray for the people you’re inviting, that they encounter Christ in a new way.

No, but the more involved you are, the more impact you’ll have. Even if you can’t make it to every gathering, your invitations and encouragement still make a difference.

We’ll provide you with talking points and materials to make inviting others easy and natural. Think of it as a personal invitation: share why you’re excited about the gatherings and why you think they’d benefit from attending.

The gatherings will take place weekly starting March 20, 2025 and run through April 24, 2025. More details will be shared closer to the dates.

You’ll have access to:

• Temporary tattoos, flags, and other fun branded items.

• Flyers and posters to share in your groups or hang in approved locations.

• Social media graphics you can use to promote the gatherings online.

Being part of the street team is flexible and can fit into your schedule. A lot of what you’ll do is simply being intentional about inviting others in your daily interactions. You can participate as much or as little as you’re able.

You can pick up promotional materials starting January 19,, 2025 at the Student Center or Narthex. If you need additional support or ideas, contact a campus minister.

"Jesus is Lord" isn’t just another event—it’s an opportunity for Jesus to change lives. Your involvement could be the reason someone encounters Jesus for the first time or reconnects with Him in a way that might change their live for eternity.
