Natural Family Planning

We offer a natural approach to family planning and women's health maintenance through professional instruction in the Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS). Our team of FertilityCare Practitioners work one on one with their clients to meet individual needs. This system is designed to meet your specific situation whether it be family planning (postponing or achieving a pregnancy), infertility, irregular cycles, hormonal problems, or simply monitoring your menstrual cycles.

To begin using the Creighton Model System attend one of our monthly Introductory Sessions. Following the Introductory Session you will meet with your FertilityCare Practitioner for personalized follow-up instruction. During follow-ups you will learn how to accurately and confidently interpret your menstrual cycles.

We welcome single women, engaged couples, and married couples of all faiths and backgrounds and we hold the dignity of every human being, born and unborn, in the highest regard.

What is the CrMS?

Women's menstrual and fertility cycles have been shrouded in mystery since the beginning of time. Most women still do not know about the workings of their cycles of fertility and infertility. Every woman has the right to know how her cycles function in order to understand the way her body works.

The CrMS relies upon the standardized observation and charting of biological markers that are essential to a woman's health and fertility. These 'biomarkers" tell the couple when they are naturally fertile and infertile, allowing the couple to use the system either to achieve or to avoid pregnancy. These biomarkers also telegraph abnormalities in a woman's health. The CrMS allows a woman to unravel the mysteries of the menstrual cycle.

The CrMS is also the basis for the new women's health science, NaProTECHNOLOGY (natural procreative technology). Learn more at http://www.creightonmodel.com/

Testimonies

Kristin and Austin:

We first became interested in NFP when many of our friends were talking about it and learning it in preparation for marriage. We were not engaged yet but were discerning the possibility of marriage some day. We decided to attend a class. Austin was pretty skeptical at first, but once the presentation began, it was so interesting he couldn’t stop raising his hand to ask questions.

By the end of the introductory session, we had decided to sign up to learn the Creighton Method. We continued to learn and chart during the time of our engagement to monitor Kristen’s fertility, and when we got married we decided to use the method to achieve a pregnancy. We were blessed to conceive quickly and welcomed our first little girl just over 9 months after our wedding! We now have three beautiful girls and a baby boy on the way.

We did encounter some difficulty conceiving our third child. But since Kristen was charting, we were able to receive prompt help through Dr. Hilgers in Omaha, Nebraska to fix her imbalanced hormones. We also discovered that she has very low progesterone in pregnancy. We were blessed not to lose our first two children to miscarriage. But Kristen had difficulty during the pregnancies with hot flashes and fainting spells. Dr. Hilgers helped her with this by prescribing supplemental progesterone during pregnancy which has greatly helped her symptoms!

We are so thankful for NFP and how it has blessed our marriage and our family. Kristen even went to Omaha, Nebraska when she was pregnant with our first child to be trained as a Fertility Care Practitioner and has now been teaching the method to other couples and single women for about 7 years.

Monica and Jason:

We first heard about NFP while we were preparing for marriage because it was a requirement for our marriage preparation. The first NFP encounter we had was not a positive experience. We walked away from the information  session thinking ‘mucus, rhythm method’, and the joke “Yeah I know people who use NFP, their called parents.”

Luckily God did not give up on us and gave us another opportunity to learn about all the wonderful benefits of NFP. We attended pre-cana at St. Mary’s and heard not only the intro session, but also the benefits to our marriage, relationship, and sex life. The most compelling information we received was the testimonials presented by current NFP users. There were couples who had been married for several years and had successful postponed pregnancy as well as couples who had successfully used the method to achieve pregnancy.

Using the Creighton model we postponed pregnancy for 2 years and then use it to achieve pregnancy and were blessed the most beautiful baby girl just 7 days after celebrating 3 years of marriage.
