Mark grew up in a family of farmers and ranchers in the small central Texas town of Coleman. He's the 32nd Aggie in his family and graduated from Texas A&M in 2003 with a degree in Agricultural Development. He spent time pursuing a career as an outdoor enthusiast working as a Colorado raft guide, on dude ranches and as a wildlife biologist.
He started his ministry career at the Pines Catholic Camp in 2005. He spent time at St. Paul the Apostle in Richardson, Texas, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Northglenn, Colorado and at Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville, Texas. His last position was in the Diocese of Tyler as the Diocesan Director of Youth Evangelization. He received his Masters in Theological Studies from the University of Dallas in 2015
Mark joined our staff in the summer of 2017. He came with his wife Greer, and 3 children.
