Sarah Hayes has been a Campus Minister at St. Mary's since July of 2005. She works closely with Kappa Theta Beta (our Catholic Sorority), SMYRT (St. Mary's Youth Retreat Team), and directs the annual Leadership Symposium, a training for all student leaders. She is newly working with student Interns in both spiritual and leadership formation.
Sarah holds a Bachelor and a Master of Theology from the University of Dallas in Irving, TX. She was born and raised in Plano, Texas, a suburb north of Dallas. Following her undergraduate studies, Sarah spent a year traveling doing retreat ministry with the National Evangelization Teams (NET Ministries) where she discovered the joy of sharing the Gospel and "challenging young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church". After a year with NET she was hooked on the enthusiasm and dynamics of ministry and served the next four years as a Junior High Youth Minister and Religious Education Coordinator in Plano, TX. She has enjoyed her time at St. Mary's working with faith-filled young adults and sharing in their enthusiasm for life and passion for Christ.
Sarah's hobbies include singing, writing, scrapbooking, crocheting, decorating, and playing with her very large, but very sweet St. Bernard "puppy" named Ellie.
