Class of 2017
Ashley De La Garza is a junior Sociology major from San Antonio, TX. She is a first generation Aggie, as well as a first generation college student. Upon her graduation from Texas A&M she hopes to continue on to Law School to pursue her goal of becoming a District Attorney. This past summer Ashley interned for the Attorney General’s Office: Child Support Division and is looking forward to a new internship this upcoming summer.
During her freshman year Ashley was introduced to Kappa Theta Beta, the women’s sorority at St. Mary’s Catholic Center. This is her third year as a member of KTB and is now serving on board as Initiation chair. With the help of her sisters she has grown so much in her spiritual life and has gained the confidence to get more involved with St. Mary’s. This past summer she was able to attend Aggie Awakening 104 and is hoping to staff this coming semester.
You may also find Ashley as a lector during mass and behind the front desk as the Receptionist for St. Mary’s. God has brought so many blessings into her life and she is humbly grateful. Ashley looks forward to her next few years at A&M as she helps serve the wonderful staff, students, and parishioners here at St. Mary’s.
