The question of race continues to divide our society. Studies show that people in the United States have widely divergent views on whether a problem even exists. For example, many African Americans view racism as a problem increasingly present, while the majority of white Americans believe racism has disappeared and no longer presents a significant problem. It would seem that when one does not suffer from racism, one does not see it as a problem.
