Jan Brown and Anthony Graves will share the stories of their personal encounters with the Texas death penalty: Jan as the mother of Kandy Kirtland, who was kidnapped and murdered in Bryan in 1987 and whose killer was executed, and Anthony as a man who spent more than 18 years in prison, including 12.5 years on death row and faced two execution dates, for a 1992 murder in Somerville, TX he did not commit. Anthony was fully exonerated and released from the Burleson County Jail on October 27, 2010.
