Finding a Substitute
As a part of your commitment when you signed up for Adoration, you agreed to be present every week during your scheduled hours. However, we all know that stuff comes up . . . doctor’s appointments, term papers, etc.! So, if you will not be able to attend your hour because of legitimate conflicts, you must find a substitute ahead of time
Here’s how to do it:
First, ask one of your Catholic friends, room mates, in-town family members, professors, co-workers, any
responsible person, to fill in for you! This is a great way to lead more people to God, especially by inviting them to spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in adoration!
If that does not work, check out the awesome phone list for Guardians that was handed out at the training meeting at the beginning of the semester. You have everyone’s name, e-mail, and phone number! You can send out a mass e-mail asking for a substitute for that particular time. (At the same time remember that calling a person specifically is always the best way to get a response.) You can call someone and ask them to switch times with you or see if maybe they would like to go to adoration twice in one week.
If all of the above fails, contact your
or one of our amazing
, but ONLY if all the above fails. However, if you have made a sincere effort, they will be more than happy to help you out! That’s part of what they are there for.

emember, the further ahead you plan, the easier it will be to find a substitute!
You will receive a copy of the substitute list at training, a copy will also be at the front desk, or you can download it here. Daily Captain contact information can be found here.
